Korg Wavestation
The Wavestation Vector Synthesis and Wave sequencing . Released in 1990 . This 4 Oscillator synth is capable of creating lush evolving Pads and Soundscapes . Boldly released the first time without a piano patch and other standard samples. Wow , this was it , an instrument designed for creating sounds not a workstation . It seemed finally like a wish come true. A synth that created sounds , new sounds , exciting sounds .A very forward move for Korg that was poorly received .Sadly they quickly replaced it with the Wavestation EX . The EX version contained a card set with piano`s and other common sounds found in workstation keyboards, they probably just figured that no one would need yet another piano patch. Sampled instrument had kind of reached a plateau at that point anyway.Korg continued to expand the line with the AD and SR models . Although a bit difficult to program and having some real file management issues it is still one of our favorite synths . We vote it Korg`s Best Keyboerd ever. . .UML
